TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD (President and Chief Executive Officer Shoichi Tosaka, Taito-ku, Tokyo, Japan, “Taiyo Yuden”) and Aroma Bit, Inc. (Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer Shunichiro Kuroki, Chuo-Ku, Tokyo, Japan, “Aroma Bit”) has signed joint Development Agreement to collaborate on miniaturization and sensitivity advancement of odor sensor.

Odor detection requires dedicated analytical instrument equipments as odor typically consists of various gas molecules. Taiyo Yuden and Aroma Bit has been developing odor sensor that can discriminate multiple gases with single sensor, based on QCM (quartz crystal microbalances) with arrayed absorption
films.
In need to establish collaborative framework for further cooperation, both Taiyo Yuden and Aroma Bit has signed joint Development Agreement to collaborate on miniaturization and sensitivity advancement of odor sensor.
